AC Butchery was first established on Marion Street in Leichhardt in 1987. Since that time, the Italian owners of this family business, Angela and Carlo (AC) Colaiacomo, along with their staff, have brought food alive giving people something to talk about at the dinner table. All types of food enthusiasts from all around Sydney and NSW travel to see what the big fuss is all about. AC Butchery has been in the headlines over the years and has also been the focal point of many articles in a variety of newspapers in and around Sydney.
In the last 20 years Angela and Carlo have shown people how food is really meant to be eaten with their wacky ideas, which have kept our customers coming back for more! They are regarded as the front-runners in setting trends for new foods and their results have been very successful.AC Butchery has developed a loyal customer base which has helped to promote them through word of mouth.
We aim to hire the best-qualified staff to provide the best quality service to our customers. Peter, our full-time, highly qualified European chef is constantly coming up with new and exciting ideas. Before anything is put out for sale to our customers, Managers Carlo Colaiacomo and Joe Drago test the product for the best taste and quality for our customers' satisfaction and taste buds.
Our main store is located on Marion Street in Leichhardt and we have two additional stores- one that is located in Shop 15, Norton Plaza (on Norton Street) in Leichhardt, and the other in Shop 22, Plumer Road in Rose Bay. At all three locations, we enjoy providing our customers with only the best products of the highest quality. We offer a wide variety of products that include Free Range Game Meats, Aged Beef Products, Free Range poultry, carefree dining roasts, which are ideal for any dinner party, and our most famous product line- 19 varieties of gourmet sausages.If customers ask for something special we do not hesitate to do it for them, as it is all part of our customer service.
When a customer purchases a product from AC Butchery, our team is ready to give the best cooking instructions for any type of roast, sausage, poultry or meat product that is purchased. AC Butchery even sends all new staff to cooking classes so that they know the correct way to cook, barbeque or roast any of our products in the store. Our staff is also trained in the safe handling practices of food.

At AC Butchery, we are very proud to be an active member in the community and we are happy to support our local community by participating in events such as raffles for local schools.
Over the years, AC Butchery has been recognised in many areas including being awarded the most prestigous food award, a Jaguar Award for Innovation in Produce, for the Australian Gourmet Traveller. AC Butchery was recognised numerous years in the Inner West Small Business Award in the category for Best Butcher, voted by our customers. Our store in Norton Plaza snatched the Retailer of the Year in 2001 and 2002 which helped to lift our profile in the Inner West.
