Who's going? who will go there and get an Indian curry or a lebanese kebab with a 7/11 slushie, then buy imported chinese earrings or an Australian timberwork corkscrew? ..italians are very multicultural!

I went to FESTA ON NORTON. It was fun. The weather could have been better. I heard LOTS of people got booked for parking in the wrong place. THAT STINKS! Twisted Evil Maybe Council could lift all of the parking restrictions on Festa day. Would have been unfortunate if vendors got booked.

Norton Street at the moment, i pity the poor business owners down there with whats going on, I dont get down there often but last night my girl and I were to attend an event for the italian festival and we couldnt get near the place, parking is a joke and it was only wednesday night. Im not too bad when it comes to my car but it is a rather expensive piece of metal shall we say and I have to be a little careful where I park it, the only place I could find was this lane where you could barely get another car up the side of mine if i had parked there and yes it was legal parking, so I ended up putting it half in a bus zone, i felt so bad we only ended up staying at the event for 10mins and leaving.
The only people who will suffer from the lack of parking will be the restaurants/businesses and before long Norton Street will be no more, have you noticed how many empty restaurants there are along the way??
Amazing, little italy used to be a great place but now its a pain to even contemplate visiting.
Is it just me or do you guys agree?? Confused

even walking around norton st is a pain, esspecially in stiletto's. i've taken to calling Norton st mini golf range, with all that dodgy green carpet they've lied down. The saving grace for me is the fact that when it's all neatly repaved it'll be sweet as for my skateboard.

I've worked at 2 place on norton st and it just seems like the council couldn't be bothered to consult with local businesses. both my bosses have lost up to and over a grand a week, due to the very front of their shops being dug up for days on end.

No one asked my boss at brumby's what he thought bout taking away the parking out the front or about weather he's like seating area out the front.
